Welcome to Lake for Ward 3

Hi, I’m Lake. I’m 24, and I’m running for office because, like many of you, I rent in Little Rock and it’s not easy. I love walking, but safe, walkable areas are hard to find and biking feels like playing the lottery.

My frustration grew when my rent went up on a 100-year-old apartment with broken windows and spliced wires while the city delayed improvements to the street I lived on, Markham and Martin in Stifft Station. I’ve seen countless plans promising progress, but when was the last time a major project was finished or you felt the city was truly moving forward?

I’m running to be a voice for the people who aren’t business owners: renters, bus riders, and everyone who has had to ask for a ride home because the bus stopped running at 5 PM. It’s time for a city that works for all of us, not just a few.
